A Book with lots of general information

Can anyone suggest a book with a good story as well as some useful info.
'The Lost world' - is a excellent book with a good story(much better than the movie) and gives an excellant information on the evolution process.
I'm not asking for books like 'Survival guide - Max brooks' :D

Yes I can suggest you one book. The name of the books is 'The secret letters of the monk who sold his ferrari'. If you wish, buy the book and read it. You will surely like the book. For me it is the best book which I have ever read. The book is written by Robin Sharma.

Thanks man, I have heard about it a lot but i've never read it, maybe this time.

I haven't read many books but of which I have read I find Michael crichton's books to be fascinating. He has wonderful concepts and creates an excellent faction blend.
Robin sharma, is more like paulo coelho in preaching about the purposes of life, which many consider as effective for understanding about their life, life. Thanks for suggesting his books, but I was asking if you know any authors like crichton whom deal with faction, with concepts other than about life

Jodi Picoult's books are good for information, I have gone on to research particular topics from her books because they have interested me.
