Franchises online

I'm interested in making money not through paid to blah sites, but instead by running one of these sites. Does anyone know of any "online franchises", sites where you can rent the hosting, and the programming, and you get paid for "running the site". I can think of examples as 1) buxhost site for a PTC business, 2) phpbb3 running a forum and earning via advertising, 3) I've seen some sites that get you set up as a money exchanger. Any other ones out, preferably successful ones?
