Nikon vs. Olympus Cameras?

So I was just wondering what everybody's preference is with both of these. I've never owned a camera and was wondering which one is more satisfying for pictures, quality and video. I really want one and would really love to know which one is better in those aspects. Thanks!

I LOVE My NIKON.. I got one a few years back after having 2 other cameras... and That was it for me.. I have since upgraded to new NIKONs two more times. Always got to get the one that has more gadgets and more Megapixels. My last one is over 2 years old has a touch screen and is still working great.
It's a 10 mp Nikon S230.. and they still have some for sale out there.. they don't even make the touch screen anymore. so I am so glad that I got mine when I did.
I have never had an Olympus So I can't compare. I am liking my New Fuji Finepix hs25 exr though.
