Wow.. these is really hard to define..For me,Professional is someone who possesses a degree and still continues to exercise what he/she learned academically mean while Educated person may not be like other professional instead they possess qualities of which may differ from others, I am not saying that professionals are not educated, they are but then, educated people speaks also of personality, how you speak, sit, act and listen to others. I guess that really measures who's professional and who's educated.

I have to respectfully disagree with your definition of professional. I have known many non-educated people that are professional in the jobs they perform. You can be professional at a job without being an academic. In my opinion a professional is someone who possesses the ability to act in a manner that reflects well on the establishment they work for whether that be a courteous smile, friendly customer service, or simply doing an exceptional job. They can be said to have a professional attitude. An educated person can be working at a job and not have a professional attitude. Professionalism depends on the person not the education. Just my two cents :)

In my own opinion, Educated may be referring to persons that had been taught with a vast kind of knowledge, it may or may not be in terms of reading and writing but it can be in terms of morality, attitude, religiously and anything that a certain person teaches you, while on the other hand Professionals are persons who attained a certain mastery in an area that they can receive such recognition as Professional, e.g. , professional drivers, professional athletes, professional teacher, etc..

From the generalized perspective, it's a professional occupation what is different from other occupation and has some specific characteristics of labor.The narrow professional ,mainly refer to the certain social occupation.
