A Peculiar Friendship - Rekindled

I had this male friend from work, and he's at his late 30's but still single and very workaholic. He used to work for me as an analyst, and due to his hardwork and efficiency, he now directly serves the big bosses. He is the type whom other people would easily make fun of because he is very serious and can't take jokes, especially about himself. Sometimes, we would bully him and to the point that it would piss him off. But, later on, he would come back to us, as if nothing happened. Yet, one day, he got really offended with what I did, and never talked to me, until the day I left my job. After 7 months of not seeing each other nor sending messages or talking to each other, I'm just so glad that he went to my baby's baptismal, and accepted my invitation for him to be a sponsor. I never thought he would come, because he didn't respond to my text message and email. But he was there on time at the church waiting for us. I hugged me right away, and told him that I missed him a lot and appreciated his presence. I'm just glad we're friends again.
