Enjoying time together.

It was a great night last night. My son and his girlfriend went out on a double date and got home early. We sat out front and chatted about their evening out and the good time they had. Then we just started talking about a bunch of other things, nothing in particular. It was great. His girlfriend is the only girl (woman) that he has dated that actually just sat and chatted with me. It was nice. We haven't know each other that long since I've just moved back here and I was surprised by that. Oh the others that he had dated would talk to me on occasion, but it was usually to complain about something or him. It was almost a dread for me when I knew he was coming to visit with his girlfriend, they were so cold and aloof, sometimes they wouldn't acknowledge that you have even spoke to them. I'd wonder where in the world he found them, strangers would at least acknowledge you when you said hello or nodded a hello to them.. I really don't think I'm an intimidating person, oh well now that I think about it maybe they were trying to intimidate me, who knows didn't work. The woman he's dating now is very friendly and outgoing she's a beautiful person inside and out, this is what I'm learning as I get to know her. She has two young children a boy and girl, my son has a daughter and the three of them get along great so I'm told. I haven't seen it yet since I've just moved back here a couple weeks ago, but I will this coming Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing my granddaughter it's been over a year since I've seen her. It'll be great. Because of the wonderful technology of skype however whenever he would have his daughter over he would call me and say hey lets get on skype. So I got to see her via skype. She is getting so big, it'll be great to see her in person again. Enjoy your day, thanks for reading.
