Constant Fear of Storms?

Okay so to be completely honest to some extent everyone is afraid of storms. But how much are we? Well I am currently sitting here watching the wind blow my curtain just slightly and am getting paranoid about it. My heart starts to beat faster and I get the sweats. I am petrified of storms ever since I was a little girl. When I was younger I used to hide behind the couch and put a pillow over my face and suffocate myself until the storm was over...I was also crying. So I'm just wondering why I have such a ginormous fear of them? Do you have a fear of storms? If so please share and if not share anyway! :)
