Okay so my 11 year old sister just started crocheting. She is actually pretty good for her age and she really enjoys what she does when she finishes it. She is in desperate need of money though. She has said that she hates relying on everyone else to pay for stuff for her and that she is tired of waiting. So...my point being would anybody pay for crocheting? I could make her a shop and see how it goes but I'm a little worried that they won't sell. So...would anybody buy something like this? Not saying you HAVE to buy them but would you? I don't know whether to put this in make extra money or crafts so I went with my instinct. Also how much would you think they would cost? She probably doesn't really care about the amount since she likes to buy little trinkets most of the time. Would love to hear from you guys! Also do NOT be rude in this topic. I'm dead serious about this and do not want to hear rude comments about me or my sister.

Crocheting is a great hobby. I have done it most of my life and ought to start again and do less of this computing.. I have crocheted butterflies and sold some. If there is a magnet glued on them, people may use them to decorate their fridge or if we put brooch pins on them, they can have it on a blouse or cardigan etc.. There are lots of pearls and decoration yarn we can use to make them attractive for buyers and small items like these don't take so much time to make.. Happy crocheting..

I'd tell her to at least try to sell it. I used to do scrapbooking and had a web store and sold embellishments and my own hand made paper piecing items.... I made enough to cover the cost of the site/page and about $10 a month extra or so. I sold stuff I didn't want and even joined a free scrapbook auction site and sold alot there. So, yeah it can be done. I might have been able to do better but I had a health problem and had to close it down cause I couldn't keep up with it and other things. But tell her to make a few things and then she can post them and offer them in different colors. Hardest part is...getting not just traffic to your store, but buyers. Hey, how about her making a buncho f things and haveing a "handmade yard sale" kind of thing? Or have mom do a yard sale and she can have a table of her stuff to sell. I tried years ago to make and sell my sewing things, little girls clothes, stuffed animals etc. Never sold a thing! Everyone teold me how wonderful my stuff was, how beautiful etc..but they never bought a thing! My GD made book marks and sold them to her friends...she ended up just selling to all of them and had no more buyers... they all had one! Post some pictures of her stuff here and let us see! I always try to encourage the littel ones to do things like this to help them hopefully learn how to "make it in business" kind of thing. I wish someone had taken the time to help me out!
