food poisoning in our school!!

This morning i rode the elevator in our school, a teacher came in and ask something to the operator. i didn't mean to listen to their conversation but i was alarmed to what i heard..... there was a food poisoning in our school yesterday and it was on the news. when i arrived in our classroom i hastily asked my friend if she knew about it. she told me it happened yesterday during the Leadership Seminar in our school and there's about 100 people got food poisoned including the president of the school. i was really shocked about the news and i hope they all get well soon. i also hope that it'll not happen again.
btw. i miss mylot.. it has been over a month now the last time i've checked my mylot. good to be back again.. :)

About 100 people? That's terrible; the caterer or the the school in charge for refreshments should be questioned. This is a serious thing that will cause a great deal of alarm especially to the parents who have kids going in that school. Good thing you weren't one of them, that's one lesser victim.

i don't know it the caterer were questioned. they said it's just an accident. i hope so.

oh that is bad news. I have never had food poisoning but did have food allergy. had was bad..oh remember I had fish poisoning once. my whole family did. It was a red fish and red fish in FIJI is normally poisonous bit the ones which are not, they are the tastiest. I think we forgot to make sure at home. usually we cut into the flesh of the fish and put a silver coin. if it turns black, then it is poisonous.

Food poisoning at Schools is a real terrible thing. The school should take complete responsibility for the incident. Such incidents will drastically affect the reputation of the school.

Thanks for sharing.
Are you still in school.
Here such incidents occurred many times, as per govt rule mid day meal is served in some schools, because of some reason or other food got poisoned.

hi,
i am so thankful because i have been studied for how many years from elementary,to secondary until college but i never ever experience that food poisoning at school,though i have watched many news about some schools who have been poisoned because of the food in their canteen and even out of the school.

Hope everybody is out of danger and it is a hard time everywhere that food poisoning is spreading as it is monsoon season. Also, whenever there is a mass ordering and preparation of food, people never care about neatness and the ingratiation is the major cause of food poisoning. Outdated food materials, oils or even the water which is used for preparation or anything can be the cause.
However, take care and hope you all to be much care about food at these times. Also, be around and take care on studies and hope you will be excellent in studies and concentrate more.

i am sorry to hear about it. school food usually is safe because school wants to keep student's health. so it is a bad accident for your school. it is neccessary that your school must take more attention to food health. i wish your classmates can become better soon. best wishes for you.

Waw, that's really terrible news. Who poison the foods btw? That's dangerous, hopefully the people did not die... hope they will be ok soon.
