Lost my Hairclip in the Pool yesterday...

So I lost my favorite hairclip in the pool yesterday, looked all over for it and couldn't find it. Today in the pool, a cute little girl discovered it in deep end at the bottom. She was so excited to find it, she loved it. I couldn't bring myself to tell her it was mine, I smiled seeing how happy such a small thing made her. What do you think you would've done?

I would have left it that way. It's just a hairclip, even though it's a favorite, and there's nothing more heart-melting to see a little girl that enthusiastic and pure happy about something... this is a thing you rarely see nowadays :).

I would be very happy that somebody had found my thing and appreciate it. That would be enough for me to be happy. Knowing that it is now in the right hand and giving benefit to the finder would be enough. I would do as you did.

Something about seeing a kid so happy over something so small brings me joy. I don't think I would've been as happy if it was an adult who inherited my clip though.

Yes I will also let it go. I will create a sort of beautiful memory of it (believe me I have a lot of things that I really love and lost) but it is best that you let the cute little girl have it.

Hopefully she doesn't wear it in the pool and lose it like I did, I think she might speak up if someone else found it then!

It was very cute to see her get so excited over something like that, I miss being a kid.
