My granny is 90 plus and she is so fit- I adore her

Hi friends, I would like to share with you my grandmothers life. she is one lady I admire so much. She is in her 90s and she has no sickness. she walks fine but the only thing is her bones are weak due to old age but she no other problem.
She does gardening and is not dependent on anyone to give her her expenses. she has a house which is on rent and she still helps other. She smokes our local cigarette and she drinks our local drink(kava) as well, but all in a very small amount. she has timings for her food time. She gets up at 6am and brushes her teeth, then prays something facing the sun. After that she will have tea and breakfast. Lunch she wants at 1pm. if nobody is around, she will get her own food. Dinner after having little kava at about 9pm. this is her lives time table since I have known her.. She is thin and slim and tall lady. she is my father's mother. I adore her.
Since I am away from home(FIJI), I had just spoke to her and saw her on skype. She is our hero. what do you think about my granny?

Your grandmother sound incredible , to be that age and still in such good shape and some people in their 70s and cant even move and have a lot of sickness , she have seen a lot of generation . My grand mother love gardening also and she do a lot of activities she is in her 60s . My grandmother also smoke lol she is the only one in my family that smoke no one else smoke nor drink in my family . I have never hear of kava , what is that made of ?

sure my granny is incredible and I think your granny is same as well. Oh kava is, is our traditional drink which is made up of roots of a tree. We dig the roots and dry it in the sun till its very crisp. then we make powder of it. we take a square cloth and two people hold the 4 corner of the cloth and put the powder on the cloth. There is a basin down the cloth. Then another person takes the water and pour on the cloth where the kava powder is. Try to take out all the flavor from it by stirring and squeezing. The mixture gathering in the basin is what we drink. It makes the tongue go numb..

That sounds like an awesome lady, great for her! It is so impressive when people take such good care of themselves, and even use modern stuff like Skype, that is just amazing!
I think you are very lucky to have such an amazing granny, to be honest :)

That is one super-granny. She might have taken care of herself well back then that's why she's pretty healthy now. I'm glad to hear that your granny is well and healthy.

yeah she was very hardworking in her days, my mother tells. They normally used to use home made coconut oil to cook. she is used to tell me the benefits of coconut oil. We had big sugar cane farm where our whole family used to work. And all this has contributed to her wellness. She is indeed a super granny. thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day,.

I think that she is simply an amazing lady. To be able to stay heathy at her age is almost impossible and normally she should have reach the time which she cannot move much, eat, or take care of herself. I think it has something to do with what she does throughout her life, what she eats and the ingredients involved in the food preparation, exercises, time she went to sleep, exercises etc. I would really like to know more about her. If it's possible can you ask her for me? And maybe you can message me about it when you do gain some understanding about her. Thanks in advance.
