I've often thought of good ways to makle a living now that I retired and selling soup as a vendor is one of them. What do you think of this ? What are the pros and cons ?

if you could offer quality soup at a cheaper price and find a busy place then that's a good idea. I have meet some vendors who are earning more than office workers do. There's even a couple I've had a chance to talk to selling snacks, soft-drinks etc. in a bus terminal who told me that they are sending three children to a reputable university from their earnings on this business. Maybe it would help if you would talk and gather tips/actual statistics from vendors selling similar products in you place.

It depend on how the business goes. the place you select, and how much people like those soups I know a person who was working in the company i am currently working on and now he earns a lot from his stall compare to the salary i get somedays he even earn my entire month salary in a day but yeah many people don't succeed too.

I think that it can be a good way to earn some money, but it depends on many things including where you live, and whether there would be any competition. If you lived in my country, I know that you would be able to make a lot of money from doing this, especially in the winter, as there are a lot of people who would want to buy hot soup on a cold winter's day. There are no other people who have taken the initiative to do this, so there would be a space for anyone who wanted to try and make a career out of it.

It depend on your residence. In some countries, food and beverages had high standards, they even made standard legibility for opening such thing. Even you made super delicious food but if you not meet those standard, government will force you to close it.

I've never heard of something like that. It would be really weird in my country, as sidewalk shops usually sell hot dogs, Chinese food, gyros, kebab and hamburgers here, not soup. But I would love the idea, though!

I think that might be a hard sale. I don't think I would buy soup from the sidewalk. It's too easy to be poisoned by food I barely trust restaurant kitchen. Plus, the the police would probably shut you down, pretty quickly. Just my opinion.

Well i dont think this is bad idea. This is also a good way of serving people and earning money. Getting a good soap on the sidewalk is very difficult these days. If the soup are made a bit cheaper and tastier then people from all walks of life will come and help you grow your business. Well you should take a better place like outside a college or a busy place where you can attract a lot of customers.
