General Hospital will move to a new time slot on Sept. 10; it will be 2 pm ET/1 pm PT. I'm assuming that this means for me in the Mountain time zone it will go from 2 pm to 1 pm. This will put it on opposite The Young and the Restless. I'm thinking that will be the case in many places. So this will add to the strain on SOAPs. Will it make it hard for one or both to survive? I don't watch Days of Our Lives, so I don't know how that will be affected.

Pacific Standard time... right now GH is 2pm..so is that 11am for me? I hope not. Y&R is at 11:30 to 12:30 and I won't stop watching Y&R for GH. Sorry. I am an old time GH fan...since 1968! but it is so boring now, and if I have to choose...I'd choose Y&R..although... I can record it so I guess there is no issue! I have SoapNet on cable so I guess it doesn't really matter.. I can catch it at 9pm every day.

Where I live, The Young and the Restless is on at 11am. It doesn't coincide with GH now, or when they change the time. However, right now General Hospital airs at the same time as Days of Our Lives. So when it moves in the fall, it's actually better because now it's not competing against another soap. So if you live where I live, in the fall you'll be able to watch Y&R, Days, and GH all at different times. Whereas now, it is competing with Days. I think it will all pretty much come out even.
