we have a different opinion and character, and everybody was entitled to it, dont get upset if your friend does not listened to your advise or opinion, sometimes friend in trouble doesn't really need your opinion or advice they really need is some who will listen and share their sentiments or a shoulder to cry on, its easy to decide and judge a thing if your not in that situation... just listen and be her/his side.

I'm with you on this. And usually, we should offer advices when it was specifically asked from us. We know that we only mean well for our friends, but sometimes, all they need is our support and not our advices because for all we know they already have it all figured out. They have a mind of their own, and are capable of making decisions for themselves.

yah, they have their own solution to their problem, they just want to release their grief and pain to someone who will understand them, comforting friend are more likely listening to them.

I truly agree with your worthy thoughtful words. That is a sense of maturity that you develop a habit of listening. You correctly mentioned the situation in which one needs to listen rather than speaking his mind. We should act according to the situation and I feel that maturity of such an extent will surely help us be a better human and will help us develop the art of living.

I agree. Like when a person can`t no longer shoulder what she feels. It is important for us to listen only. Our presence alone is very important. But i still believe that comforting her and giving her advice or just voicing out comment will somehow ease the pain and make her feel good. It depends upon the situation though. But when i am down and can no longer hold it, all i need is someone to talk too. Listening and speaking are both important in friendship especially in a problem like this

very thoughtful , and this comes with maturity of thinking, and understanding others, i totally agree. The person needs one who listen to him/her in that particular situation.
