Ever since i have started going to college i have had a hectic social life. A lot of trial friendships that didn't work out, but i also found my best friend a few months back. It just so happens that she is a girl with almost perfect stats, looks, and brains too. Everyone says that we are a perfect match and even i have spent some lovely time with her. But recently she has starting getting more intimate with me. I don't know how to respond to this. It's not that i don't find her attactive but i rather prefer not to lose our friendship because of a failed relation. Please suggest a way out of this guys.

Hi, I understand that you are worried about losing a best friend in case something goes wrong if you get into a relationship. If you like her already, then you might try to ask her in different roundabout ways to understand whether she really has strong feelings for you. Some girls might not be able to say it openly but she may be expecting you to say it! It is best to give it some time and if you really do not feel anything beyond friendship for her, you could try to make it clear that you are not enjoying the fact that she is trying to be intimate with you. I think it might be early to predict that it would be a failed relation if you get into one. My love story goes like this: I have been into a relationship with my boyfriend since the very first year of college and our relationship has been crossed 7 years and we will be getting married next year. Now let me tell you that we are each other's best friend and primarily because of that fact, we enjoy and cherish our relationship so much. For some, it can be wonderful to be in a relation with a friend. I hope everything works out fine for you. My best wishes are with you

Thanks for the support. Its really wonderful that you have found your life partner in your best friend. Maybe i was being too cinical, I should let things run their course. Maybe i too have found my partner but yet to realise it. :D

Wow, you are lucky as to get a smart friend, of course it can help you in terms of particular subjects. But if he starts to be more with the quotes you better commemorate her, you tell her not want to ruin our friendship and say like always good in touch.

After going through responses and your replies -- it will be right for you to be only friends-- because you suspect her to have ego issue and you think it may affect.

keeping your distance from her would help you out from that situation. its not that you will be forgetting her forever, i am just suggesting to give yourself a break for that friendship and spend time with other things.
