Is Money controlling us or we controlling money?

Once i was small my father tend to have to give me small amount of pocket money that time i decide what to do with that little amount.. But now when i start to earn a little bit more amount i not able to spend money as my wish due to status i got because of this money.. For ex now all i not able to eat or shop in small shops bcoz my friends tell only those who all poor will eat or shop here like this so much changed bcoz of money.. So how many of you feel u still having control on your own money?
