Help me to gain weight! :)

My teacher gave us an assignment for our social arts, She told us to pick part of our body that we want to change. I choose my arms to have muscle, but my professor change it instead of having muscle in my arms she told me to gain weight first! I'm 5'11 ft in height and 53kg in weight. I guess I'm under weight. Fellow Mylotters please suggest that will help me to gain weight aside of eating lot of rice. Thank you! Happy Mylotting! :)

you are so thin but if you want to gain weight, it is easy, you can eat more and sleep more, then you will gain weight, if you want to gain weight quickly, drinking a lot of cola before you sleep is a good choice, it is a so good way to gain weight. good luck!

hey RSantos026, cola is a softdrink as in coca cola or pepsi. these have caffeine though so i dont think it would be good before bed if you need to sleep! you can try to find caffeine free ones to help with this suggestion i suppose.

eat lots of protein throughout the day. eat snacks too, make sure 3 meals but get 1 or 2 snacks, then work out weights for your arms. you might as well target the part of your body youd like to change. you can try weights for legs too. but do both eating a sufficient amount of protein and weights you will gain weight and the kind of weight you want. choose lean meats like fish, chicken, turkey bacon. beans, eggs, are good foods. :)

Hi there RSantos026, With reference to your post, you will be needing to do an exercise. Either you are loosing or gaining weight, you will be needing to do an exercise. In your situation, you need to do an exercise wherein you need to gain weight. Aside from that, you need to eat more which will supplement your weight gaining. Perhaps, it will be best to consult a weight instructor on a gym so he/she can guide you on the proper weight gaining. Aside from that, you can be also guided on how to have a good muscles.

wow you are thin. and I am fat..let us exchange some fat. God you need to gain. take protein shake and eat lots of energy giving food. eat fries and chips and all what you can. all the best.

As a student, one of the great factor for some is STRESS and lack of sleep, sometimes, if you are in so much stress regarding your studies, homework, projects, group studies, research etc, you loose appetite eating. So, one of my suggestions is to have at least enough sleep, don't skip meals, and if you knew that you are eating a lot and still not gaining weight, consult a doctor or have some multi-vit (appebon cap). :)

Your teacher was right. Try eating banana and egg daily. Avoid drinking too much coffee if you do. Replace it with milk and muscovado sugar..it will look like coffee but much healthier. Potato, Ice cream and fruits. Avocado is good weight gainer and good for brains too.

I am paying close attention with this thread. Like you I want to gain weight too! But looking at your situation, I do feel I am more massive than you are. I am also at around 52-53 kg but only at the height of 5'4". I am at the brink of the body mass index for normal weight person, so I am deducting that you are really underweight. But still, I will be interested in the response of fellow myLotters here in this thread. I badly want to gain weight.

You have to eat more meats, more eggs, and more milk. Eat everywhen you feel hungry a little o r even not hungry anymore. Then you will be a fat guy! Hahaha! Of course, that's so hard to change our body. I just like you, I'm so slim and that make me want to gain weight. But it grow up very slowly. Also, You should eat every thing in balance. Try to eat more but slow. Good luck!

Good Day! I suggest you to eat a lot of hefty foods, drink juices, milk/soy milk. Try to eat watery fruits like watermelon and eat foods rich in proteins.

Sounds like you have a really high metabolism. I would suggest eating more carbs and protein. Have you looked into drinking weight/mass gainers?

I used to be skinny before and i mean, really skinny. I tried a lot of effort over feeding myself but non of it would help. The only way i get rid of that stage of being skinny was to consult someone professionally that has answers on that dillema, so with hopes i consulted a dietician and gave me prescriptions and meal menu that would help me to boosts weights, lastly. I overcome being skinny when i tried working out and do eat more, most especially breakfast. and lastly, eat more protein riched foods, take vitamins, and don't miss eating three times a day.
