Guys I have a question, My computer right now has no Video Card because I have removed it because I think it's what's causing the reboot crashes that has been happening in my pc. What i don't understand is that my memory sticks or ram aren't also functioning well and my computer still restart when it detect my 2 sticks but when it only recognizes 1, it doesn't restart. Any expert help? My 2 sticks of ram are 1 Gig each

Sounds like you have a faulty RAM. I would advise you to bring your computer into your local computer store to get it fixed. If you know your computer parts, get yourself some new RAM. Make sure they are the same type of RAM you have because there are plenty of types of RAM out there. I would link you to the right RAM modules but I dont know what type of RAM you have and I dont know what type of RAMs your motherboard takes.

I think the problem with your computer is the incompatibility of your the memory of your computer. Be sure that the memory is the same. Even if the memory different in capacity they are working. But if the memory is not the same that reason why your pc is black out...

The Quickest Solution to Ram Problems is to Removes the Ram, & Using the Normal Eraser Slowly Rubs the RAM Golden part. & Try it again. If its not worked go to Nearest PC Service Center.

First for the video card, I don't think it the cause of your computers problem. The usual problem with using a defective video card is that once you reboot your system, you can heard a long sound and your monitor remains blank. So I don't think its your video card since you can see it rebooting (i guess your monitor is working as well). Probably, one of your memory card (RAM card) is already defective. you can simulate this in a very simple way. First, simply remove one RAM card from the second RAM slot and reboot your system. If it works, then its not damage. Next swap the other RAM card to the first slot to test. Do the rebooting to see if it working or not. With this, you can see if indeed your RAM is the problem. If both are working fine, sometimes simply removing the RAMs from the slot and re-installing it will do the trick. If nothing works, packed it up and bring it to the computer shop before you can do more harm on your computer.

Actually , I've done the remove and then place it back from the memory slots but It's getting nowhere, Most of the time it doesn't even reach the Windows screen and so I removed the Video card and connected my monitor to the Motherboard and It works but the problem is I have a newly bought faulty ram that's why I am only able to use 1 gigabyte. My computer is Pentium 4 and it's very old already that's why I am planning to buy a new one.

Just mention this in passing, last time we had a PC which kept crashing it was because the heatsink and fan on the CPU were clogged with dust which led to over heating, it's somtething else you could cross of the list very easily.

Actually that's a good point. My computer is a bit dusty especially the Motherboard and maybe I'll try to clean it if it will improve.

I have the same problem too :( My computer has a really low video card and it has a small space :( This is the reason why I cannot play some hard core video games. They always tend to hand whenever I start up the game. My brother said it is because of my poor video card. I asked him if I could upgrade it but my brother said it couldnt. So I guess you really have to buy a new computer if you want more space and better video card. I am not sure though cause I am no expert. But that is what my brother suggested to me when I asked him :) Happy mylotting.

helo, Most of problem of reboot itself because of hardware inside computer. It could be hardisk either RAM. Some other factor also because of virus has bee n attack. It is can be remove by antivirus. Normally some task prompt pop like saying "Your windows just now recover from serious problem". It is must be of RAM problem.

Yes I have a faulty new ram. And I think my video card to because my video card is currently removed because my computer keeps rebooting without stopping that's why I removed it . As of the moment I'm not sure If I'm going to buy a new video card or it's best to buy a new computer.

Hello vaericke, This reboot problem occurs mostly because of RAM issues. Take you pc to nearest service center and they will let you know in detail what actually the problem is. Sometimes the problem is at such location where we wouldn't examine. Have a great day.

They are probably damaged. If they are old this is very likely to happen. You should buy new RAM. Are you using DDR or DDR 2 ram? If you still have problems try chaning your power source, it may have too low voltage. Before you do all this you should check that all cables in your computer are properly atached to the motherboard. Bad connections can also cause this kind of problems. How big are your video card? Is it 512 MB? Try following my tips, and see where you land.

Try changing the RAM or try to use one at a time so you may know what pieces is damage one. Maybe one RAM does not meet the requirements of your MB or Motherboards. If already detected, try again to install Video Card and reformat the PC. Mostly, reformatting the PC can solve the problem. Have a great day!
