Why do we hide the truth about ourselves?

Are you carrying around secrets deep within yourself? Do you hide the dark, scarey truth about yourself to shield your soul against the world? I know I'm reserved and will only reveal some things but not all. How about you?

i also have many secrets wherein I am afraid to reveal it to people even to my friends. I think it is better to keep it hidden to avoid prejudice and discrimination. I have tried revealing a secret to a friend since then i lost my trust to anyone when she've just broken her promise not to tell that secret to someone.

Yes. I here you. Now with me what you reveal to me I never repeat. That's because of my counseling background. What you say stays here it never leaves! Trust is a really big issue. Even if you meet someone it's okay to keep a few secrets.

nope I don't really have any secrets, I may not tell everyone one but certain people I trust I will give certain information too.

I got a few secrets that I don't want people to know about. The reson we hide the truth is becouse we are afraid how other people are gonna react, and that we feel safer about being the only one knowing.
