So much going on for my youngest daughter!

I have two daughters, 21 and 18. This year my 18-year-old graduated high school, started to learn how to drive and got her permit, and will be staring college in a couple of weeks. Today we got her a used car so that she will be able to drive herself to college every day after she gets her license. Of course, she needs to do plenty of practice with me first. I'll probably let her drive, with me in the passenger seat, to school, and I'll drive home, and then we'll reverse that when she gets out of school. I need to feel totally confident that she'll be able to drive back and forth by herself with confidence, but I feel like I should drive with her for at least a couple months before allowing her to go by herself. My sister thinks I am paranoid, and maybe I am a little bit, but the school is at least a 30-minute drive one way, and so far all she's driven with me is a 10 minute ride to a few stores around here. She is a pretty good drive, but there are still areas for improvement, and I can see she is still nervous a bit when changing lane or parking between two cars. I don't know why I feel more scared of her driving alone than I did of her sister, who was my youngest daughter's age when she started driving, too. My youngest is actually a better driver than my oldest was when she first started driving. Has anyone else gone through this where you seem more anxious when teaching your youngest to drive than your oldest? Maybe it's just because she is my baby?

We are the once affraid of what will happen to our girls when ever they decide to do something. My 8 years old daughter is always riding a bicycle with her elder sister at the back joining her. Just let your daughter practice because constant practice makes perfect.

Thank you, uolyram. Yes, since bringing her car home, we've been letting her drive more and more. It is still nerve wracking, but I am getting less afraid each day.
