My uncle Luis is suffering from Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD). I advised him to quit smoking, avoid coffe and other foods that can trigger pain. I know that is very painful. I give him some shots of ranitidine, hnbb, maalox, omeprazole, pain reliever. Just now, I spy on him if he followed my instructions, but then again I saw him having a cup of coffee and Puffing cigarretes. It pissed me off! I care about his health yet very hard headed. It is an insult as a a healthcare provider. What the hell he is doing? Medicines ain't cheap. Preparing soft foods ain't that easy. Providing interventions is no joke. He'll realize that when everything is too late.

No matter how much you help him, you can't until he finally helps himself first. He will not be cured if he, himself don't want to be cured. I hope he change his attitude before it's too late for him, just don't give up, many are getting stubborn and pain in the ___ when you are getting old. :) keep reminding him that if he loves his family and his life, quit the habits that's bad for his health/ :)
