Three posts and counting.

So, I have finally gotten 3 posts on my blog. I usually only have time to make about one post per week, so I know my blog isn't the most active blog on the internet, but hopefully for a beginner blog it's good enough. I'm trying to get at least 2 more good articles written for a total of 5 so that I can apply at entrecard. I have to get 2 more posts written very soon or they won't accept my application. The main thing that is dragging me down is that I like to spend a lot of time providing quality posts with facts to back up the information I provide to my readers. I try to make everything 100% unique as much as possible in my writing. I hope over time I will become faster and better at this. Does anyone else have a blog? What are some of your advice and/or success stories?

hi jeawings. first off, welcome to mylot. make sure to abide by the site's rules and regulations and you'll do just fine. for any questions or clarifications, feel free to approach any of the more tenured mylot members or the site admin. as for your discussion, i've always wanted to start a blog myself but i never found the time. between my actual work, mylotting, and other business and personal endeavors, i have difficulty managing a blog. like yourself, i prefer to write quality articles so if i do get a blog started, i doubt if i'll be able to churn a lot of articles in a week. i think one post per week ain't that bad especially if you are just starting. anyway, why don't you pm me a link for your blog and i'll read it and gladly give you my thoughts about the blog. generally speaking, i think blogs should always be timely updated. whether it is weekly, monthly, or even bi-monthly, there should be a schedule as to when the followers of the blog can expect a new article. also, i prefer blogs to stick to a universal theme. this ensures that the blog can establish a certain readership 'fanbase' so to speak. of course, articles about recent events and 'in demand' topics can be featured but it should still include the main point/theme of the blog. anyway, i'll look forward to reading your blog. cheers and happy mylotting!!!
