Paul is a smart P.I.

Maybe, but Paul hasn't always shown himself to be a good P. I. in my opinion. There have been many cases where he either found nothing or misleading or totally incorrect information. So I wouldn't expect him to find anything on Ricky's computer if he even looks at it unless it is so simple as Ricky not emptying the trash bin. He is not even close to being a computer expert who could retrieve the video of Ricky killing his girlfriend if Ricky emptied trash bin. It is beginning to look like the writers are not even going to go to this obvious thing to do which is the first thing that all the prime time shows would do.
