I usually add salt while they are cooking. Right now Im cooking some fries for a snack and also for my supper tonight at work. I usually put malt vinegar and ketchup on mine but I can live without tonight as it would make it all gross. My roomate use to pile ingredients on while it was cooking said it taste better.

I steam or cook my veggies with no salt at all, but I marinate meats with salt, garlic if needed, pepper and whatever else I want to to put. I cook potatoes with salt added. So, you see, it much depends on whatever it is.

What I do is, first I just fry them, then sprinkle salt and pepper take tomato ketchup in a small bowl, dip the fries and just enjoy!

No I usually wait until they are cooked to do that. If I am making them from poatoes and not out of a bag then all I do is put salt and ketchup (if even salt) on afterwards. I may add cheese whilst cooking, but like I said that's while it's cooking to melt and be gooey goodness.

Ricki, i prefer to add the condiments at the last part after my cooking is ready to serve. I ever tried to add the condiments while cooking and it makes the dish tastes different. I think there is some difference in term of taste, as when we are to put the condiments. But, i always prefer to add the condiments at the last part, before i serve them.

I usually don't add anything until they are cooked. Then I put salt. I prepare mayo and ketchup in another plate and dip the fries. I don't like putting it on top because it gets the fries soggy.

I usually season stuff while they're cooking, but add extra if needed when it's done, especially more salt (and vinegar) when chips are done. Yum, I may go make myself some fries now haha

I don't put anything on it. I just prepare a combination of mayonnaise and ketchup for dipping.
