How to increase the no. of visits on a webpage?

Friends, I have started publishing my own poems through a Social Network website. I want to increase the no. of visits for my poetry. I have been writing since my school days but now, I want to be popular among my friends and other people too with my poetry. Please guide me how to have more no. of visits!!!

Maybe you could join traffic exchange. Exchange your link with another bloggers to have more visitors. Some people are succes with it. Good luck!

I've never done this either since I don't have blog. Usually, there are words like 'put your banner here' or 'put your link'. Not all bloggers are wiling to exchange links, some offers to exchange some do not. Ask them if you don't see any exchange link on their blog. Another way, join some traffic sites. Some sites offers free traffics.
