I am not an exercise buff and so I try to keep myself healthy as much as I can. But there are times that I would be indulging with some guilty pleasures like chocolate ice cream or cheesecake. Can you share with me what has been the most effective healthy diet you have tried?

I would suggest it is not bad to indulge with your favorite foods once in a while just to treat yourself. I suggest you make have a few days fasting from foods rich in carbohydrates and sugar and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I lose a lot of weight just from a 1 week fasting and detox diet. I eat big breakfast then eat small foods for lunch and dinner.

Thanks, averygirl for sharing. I hope I'd learn to eat that way all throughout my lifetime. Thanks for having time to respond. Have a nice day!

I agree with you. I am just sometimes lazy to eat really healthy food, especially fruits.

Bananas, try eating one or two and even more everyday. Banana is full of healthy benefits and a good cleansing food for the body. This is one food whose health benefits had been overlooked. And ripe (uncooked) saba is the best.

I do love bananas but I don't get to eat them really everyday. I haven't tried eating uncooked saba. Coz when I was still I child, I was attempting to eat one. Then my nanny told me not to coz I might have stomach ache later on. And so, if I am craving for saba, it is either I boil them or cook them with brown sugar.

No need to stop pleasuring yourself, it's very good for your mind. One of the most-effective diets ever is the slow-card diet by Tim Ferriss. It's working for me and everyone I've known, and the best part about is that you are allowed to eat everything every saturday (cheat day) and you would still be able to gain lean mass and lose fat. Even without exercise.
