Whenever my daughter and I got into an argument and she talks back at me, I am torn between tolerating her or not. On one side, I want her to be able to express herself, reason out and understand my explanation. But after several minutes, i'm beginning to get irritated and annoyed to the point of just nagging at her to accept my terms. Which is not really good for the both of us. So how do you guys handle these kind of situation?

Hi friend, my kids are too little, so till today i don't have this kind of experience, till today my kids always follow my words, hope my kids will follow my words in future too. Surely i will get irritation, if my son start to talk against me, as we are elders and experienced people, we know a lot than our kids, so they must keep up our words and follow it

I always tell my kids that it's now what they say, but HOW they say it. If they talk back in a rude and cheeky way, there are repercussions. However, if they talk back in a polite, conversational way, I will hear them out.

How old is she? mine are 7 and 5 and they also talk back, i do not get mad at them when they are right actually but i explain to them that its rude to talk back and if they want to say something they have to ask first if they can sleep.
