Now it is nearing 2 pm. I would have posed nearly 15/20 responses. I also wrote a few maths questions. I feel like sleeping. I can do more work only if I sleep for 30 minutes to one hour in the afternoons. Hope many mylot members also will enjoy an afternoon nap/sleep. Sometimes I wish the tiredness for want of sleep is not there it may be good.Share your ideas.

I have been starting to nap in the afternoon myself. It is sort of refreshing. I just get up groggy and grumpy. I need coffee every time. But then I am fine. I prefer to sleep all night and not nap during the day. But it just seems to happen to me.

true. in case we sleep in the afternoons more we may not get good sleep in the night. accordingly we should do more and more work during day time and have sound sleep in the nights.

I try to keep busy. But I do notice that being on the computer for some hours makes me lazy and tired. So I have to pace myself when it comes to the computer. That way I will be able to me more active and sleep better.

inertia when we sit in one place for a long time--yes blood circulation is not aderquate--it causes pain-- so we must be moving here and there.

Power naps or one o the best things you can do if you get tired in the evening.If you didn't have too much coffee. I quite often decide to take a nap,whether I feel tired or not.And I try to lucid dream.I woke up entertained,as well as rested. But,sometimes you may need the time you would normally use or sleeping,so yeah,sometimes I don't enjoy being tired.

Oktavist welcome to mylot. You have given a new concept "power nap". You get dreams during afternoon naps also. great. Enjoy being tired-- that is something i do not like because of age-- for one reason or other we become tired. thanks for the response. what is power nap?

Basically,a power nap is a nap that lasts around 30 minutes,designed to "maximize the effect of sleep versus time".It's used to maximize one's sleep,and it is very helpful in overcoming sleep deficit.

I am still to get in to the concept of power nap. Is it to be induced by using some external factors like music, etc. or it is a self practicing habit which only a few could master over. I had heard about power nap in movies but never had a clear idea what it exactly is.

hi , when a person wakes up early and would like to sleep early ,will definetly like to have a nap in afternoons. Those who work from morning they would definetly feel tired and would like to lie down because as the age passes on the body will not allow to do the things which we had done previously with same energy,so as age increases the capacity to work decreases and we do not even have the same kind of patience as and when young,life changes,work changes eating habits change and everything changes

umabharti: thanks for the response madam. In fact you are one among the few mylot members with whom I started discussions in mylot say 1 1/2 year back. You are busy with your offline9call centre) work perhaps. good. yes. age is one of the factors that makes people get tired--also nothing immediately needs to be done--that makes it complacent and people do take a sleep in the afternoon. But when it exceeds say 1 hour it becomes a problem in the night-that you do not get sleep till late or get up early in the morning. good day.

Nowadays i am at home, so iam able to contribute at mylot.Its nice when i see all the friends who are still at mylot and it makes me feel that the time had never gone too far, and it is not that where i can say it is past , it looks as if im going in the present only. Yes if slept in the after noon then we do not get sleep in the night , this can again give a problem, so sleep only for one or two hours not more than that, this will just refresh other than that it would not give drowsy feeling also.

As I am having problem with sleep- I love to have a nap whenever I've got the chance. When I feel too sleepy and I am at home- I surely go to bed so swiftly. I don't want to miss that chance of having a sweet sweet sleep

excellent. enjoy sleep. You have problem in sleep because of tensions--you have to get up --prepare food for you and others--rush up to office -- take the botherations there--return back--cycle continues.

hi ravisivan, when i am working with my brother at his shop it is not possible to take rest sleep,now a days i am taking 30 minutes to one hour nap in after noons, and i will work up to 11.00 pm in the night and wake up at 5.30 early morning,at present i does not have other work so i am sitting on the net,but i could not earn more,have a nice day.

yugasini no doubt earning online more amount is difficult. we may get better paid in offline activities. this has to be taken when we have no other options or for leisure.

hi ravisivan, thanks for the response, i am loosing confidence in mylot site, this i never feel any time in this 4 years tenure with mylot, once again i have seen my amount was 9.98 today morning and now it is 7.67 , so nearly 2 dollars are decreased from my account, nearly 200 articles amount, though mylot is paying only one cent,so i am participating more in mylot to earn, this is second time i have seen my amount was decreased,i do not know why?if they decrease like this how can we earn more in this site,if reach the payout amount of more than ten dollars that is great i think?have a nice day.

To have a nap after lunch is a must for me. If I have a good rest, I will work more effectively in the afternoon and in the evening. But if it is a holiday, I do not mind too much of a nap. So to balance the relationship between work and sleep is of great importance to me. Take care, ravisivan.

Don't push your body and brain too hard ravisivan,please remember your health.Targets is good for your work,but your body is need to rest.Believe me,if you're spend your time for just one hour to sleep,after that your brain will fresh and ready to posed another responses.Sometimes i break to take a rest my brain for one day.And tomorrow i am start with new energy.Mylot is just for having fun,don't even think to make more money here.You will get more knowledge and more idea from other members.

tedifa yes. some people do like that. they sleep for one full day after a week's work with intermittent night sleep. that is also good. But i was referring about nap in between work that refreshes us a lot. food is important for us. aleep is more important for us. that too sound sleep is more important for us.

Uncle rest is also necessary but if the person is waking up early in the morning then they need afternoon nap otherwise not. If the person is waking up till 9 or 8am then afternoon rest is not necessary. I am not early waker.

that is right. then you may not sleep in the afternoon. It is now 1.30 pm here in canada. I had my lunch and I will take a nap after half an hour or so. but invariably i sleep for nearly an hour and that results in loss of sleep in the night. For a tired person food is not required--sleep alone is required. I am sure you in laws also may be taking nap in the afternoons. it is because we have less work and more worries.

It became a habit of mine to take a nap. My eyes will automatically feel very tired at certain hours and requires me to rest. The problem is I can spend 3 hours just for a nap, and at night I would stay up till late.

You are very clever picking an afternoon nap. Yes its works a lot. In my student life I have applied this trick. Even an hour or half an hour sleep would keep alive even for the whole night. Lets this trick confine between you and me.lol

Now you are no longer a student. yes. this trick of taking a nap or a short sleep helps one to be rejuvenated and perform more and more. in fact offices should declare 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes for nap. good day.

Oh..I also like to sleep at afternoon.While sleeping at night my mom will call me at the sharp time of get ready for the college.But if I am taking rest at the morning my mom will not disturb me by calling..I will sleep about 2 or 3 hours happily.. some people says that we will be fat by taking this as a habit..But I am a small girl with 45 kilogram weight. :)

I do also enjoy an afternoon nap. Just as long as its not too long, I usually just nap for around 30 minutes in the afternoon. If I sleep for a couple of hours for my afternoon nap then I find it screws up my night time sleep. The light and short nap helps me for re-energize for all the stuff that I have to do in the afternoon. I usually just post like five to ten responses on Mylot a day.

nijolechu: nice to see you here. good. you are very correct in taking only 30 minutes sleep in the afternoons. that is a very good habit. Today you see, I started sleeping at 2.00 pm and I was in the bed till 3.30 pm. (now it is 4.15 pm here in detroit. )This is not correct. this will affect my sleep in the night. but i try to do more work so that I get sleep in the night also. good day.

I actually made a couple of posts 10 hours ago. And I just rested for a while so that I can post and respond to another couple of questions and discussions here in this website. It's good to take a rest or breaks between a couple of responds so that we could rest our eye and prevent eye strain. I know it's really nice to earn money, but our health is more important. So We must also take care of it. :)

I envied those people who can sleep at noon for an hour or even a few minutes. On my part, I find it hard to sleep thinking that it is not a weekend or a holiday. I'm worried I wont be able to get up on time. I tried putting the alarm on and tried to sleep but nothing happens. It keeps me awake. I really do not know how some of my office mates sleep soundly for a few minutes while sitting. While I cannot even dozed off even I lay down on my bed. :(

Hi- Sometimes when I attend in any lecture in the afternoon I want to sleep it over but when I'm in the house I cant sleep. :D I miss getting nap in my duty hours either specially in night shift any position as long I could sleep about 30mins then back to work again.

For me, I don't have the habit of sleeping in Daylight except for the morning hours. I am afraid that I will have a bad restless night otherwise. I have a strange habit of relaxing my mind. I chill in my computer. I can completely retrieve my energy by playing an online game for about 15 to 20 minutes. But, the worst part of my life is that I wake up really late in the morning. Anyway, I get sound sleep whenever I hit the bed after shutting off my computer.

I always wanted to have nap in the afternoon but I could not do it at work. We are only allowed to have our break time during lunch. And since our canteen has a long queue during lunch time, We consume much waiting for our food to be serve. Anyway I always have a good nap during rest days or if there is holiday.

Why don't you try to relax your brain and muscles in your canteen itself (while waiting for food to be served). Just have a blind look somewhere and try to relax your mind and muscles. If you get to sit in a chair, then you can try even leaving away all your waits on the chair to relax.

Hi, Hope you are really enjoying the myLot sessions here. Also, I think you got habituated to sit late night and do myLoting. However, please make sure that you are getting enough time (atleast 7-8 hrs.) of peaceful sleep as per your age, which is required. As long as you got a habit of sleeping after the lunch, it will give you a freshness in the 2nd half of the day. As I am mostly in office, I don't have the habit of sleep after lunch. Even on holidays or week-ends, I cannot sleep at day time. However, at any point of time, I sleep after lunch, it will gor for 4-5 hrs. but never happens like this. Where are you in Chennai? thanks for your response. Now I am in Detroit, USA with my son. I sleep around 1045 pm every day here. while staying in chennai i use to sleep at 10 pm because i will be tired after a day's work. I ensure I get at least 6-7 hours sleep in the night and 1-2 hour sleep during day time.
