Traveling and Eating out

Although most of my friends know I live in a tourist town, there are more mom and pop restaurants than chain restaurants.
Hubby and I are on a trip, so last night for dinner we stopped at a Denny's. I have always had their Grand Slam. that consists of 2 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs cooked your way.
Well they sized down a bit to where you got a smaller version for only 4.00. I love to eat breakfast anytime I can so thats what I had for dinner.
While my husband and I wish we could get one in our town, it is nice to know when you are traveling in different states you can eat the food you want because you don't get it all the time.
Kind of makes traveling and eating out a bit fun.
I would say there is only one thing I try to get when I am out and about whether home or traveling and that is Mc Donalds Tea. It lasts me almost all day and I would rather have tea than soda anytime.
Do you have a favorite place to look for to eat at when you are traveling?

I have to say that if I'm out I might be more inclined to go to an IHoP tho I've had some good meals at Denny's, just not in Austin...
I don't eat bacon or sausage so I look for something either meat free of with chicken, and not breaded and fried.

I always look for the best food around when im going travel. This is so that we could taste whats their specialty and will also help us identify their culture. Its nice to travel different places and taste new food that are very good. Traveling relief us from stress and as well as eating delicious food.

Well part of the reason why i also would love to travel is being able to taste different style of cooking, different food and cuisines 
Like when i go to Manila our capital city i would always go to places where i could not find here in my city.

We usually brought our son along when we travel. Back in 2007, we
travelled to Bangkok, Thailand and some of the food that the tour
organiser served are spicy and my son could not eat much. So, we
normally look for McDonald and KFC. The good things is that the
food serve in these outlets are what my son want and we parents
can also try their local variants of burgers and spices tailormade
for the Thais. We love it

I think its pretty neat the way McDonalds has incorporated the Country's foods along with some of the regular US stuff.
I was watching that they were opening places in Japan or China and were showing making the countries favorite foods. That is just so awesome.
Yes I am not big on spice so I cannot eat thai food often either.
But I am always up for chinese.

Yes. Our family has a favorite place when we look for restaurants. our family usually eats out during saturdays. We go to eastwood. Eastwood is a place where there are malls and restaurants. We go here almost every time. There are so many choices in that place. You can never go wrong. Happy mylotting.

Actually,How to choose a suitable restaurant is a big problem in traveling. In some area where I have never been, it is difficult to find a restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food. As for me, before beginning in travel, I will collect some information of the tourism city about food, spot and local culture. If you have no idea at that moment, Maybe the fastfood restaurant such as KFC and McDonalds is a better choice.

Thanks for your reply and welcome to mylot.
When traveling we usually bring stuff to make sandwiches except we will eat one good meal either breakfast or dinner.
But generally the meal will be a sit down and not fast food.

i generally hate to travel and eat since i feel a sense of tiredness and feel that outside food is not good,i rarely eat only at kfc or subway if i feel real hungry

Whever Im travelling, i would always look for a cold drink, i always wanted juices with lots of ice. Normally,I would also look for a new or different kind of fruits that the place had. Its exciting to discover new delicacies when youre travelling and i love that..Enjoy eating and mylotting :-)
