Cleanness of train's Toilet and Basin

Why some passengers are not understand this thing cleanness is most important part for our health. When we were returning back from shegaon to Nagpur in “Surat Malda Superfast Express” I not feeling well because the passengers was mostly drinker in general bogi. I feel this and feel like omitting and when reach near basin shocked full basin is dirty from kharra and pan.
My daughter want to go for toilet but she said ohhh mamma if basin is like this then how toilet will clean. Ohhh God really toilet was also dirty. Govt. should fine on those persons who done this but very difficult to find out those persons who are spreading such dirty.

Hi Fanta!
It is really a pathetic state of affairs that train toilets are not kept clean by many passengers and/or either by maintenance staff of the train. Passengers are just ruthless and heartless and they least bother that others are also travelling in the train and cleanliness is needed to be maintained for all.
I can understand your plight that while travelling in train, you were not able to use the toilet or basin because of of unhygienic conditions. Did you make a complain to someone like TTE in the train? If not, you could write to railway authorities about it.

If you could send a mail to chief of your concerned railway division (it may be south central railway).
Give all the details and make a complain about indifferent behaviour of TTE also.

Yes laddu we cant use toilet and basin because feel unhygienic conditions. No not complaint TT told this is not my duty.

This is the same situations in all the trains in kerala. The toilets are very dirty and i just hesitate to use it. We people just pay the charge as per the railway charges but we have a late and ugly facility. The only thing we can just do is cop up with it.

Yes not good facility provided by Indian railways and passengers also not understand their also duty to flow the water in toilet properly and dont through the kharra in basin.

Hi fantabulus, public places are prone to dirt cause of untidy people. When I was young, we used to ride public train to the province, I can smell the aroma of urine and it makes me dizzy, that as far as I'm concern my first and last ride at the train. I don't think there is even a basin. Now, my bf is working at railway and he said that the train enroute to the province are now cleaner than before. I couldn't believe it cause it left my impression of bad smell and dirty surrounding. There are people who don't know how to keep an area clean, thanks to those public utility & maintenance who clean the public toilet area.

Actually, yes the people should help in maintaining the cleanliness of a public toilet such as that in a train.
However, mainly it's the train's company's responsibility to assign a utility man or woman who should once in a while see if they are clean. And if they're not , then he has to clean them right away.

You are right Indian railways should pay attention on toilet and basin. Because some sweeper is necessary for this to clean the toilet.

Hi fanta, most of the express train are in this sort, we people must use it in a good way, if each and every passenger realize their mistake and use the toilet and basin in the good manner then it will be available in good way. Government must appoint a person to check it and collect money from the person whoever spoil the basin and toilet, it will stop this issue

You are right,my friend.Most of the people don't care about the cleanliness.They just keep on using the toilets even if they are dirty.Nobody ever complains.I don't know when will this change.
