Do you apply for a job via internet or just "walk-in"? Me..I like to submit my resume via online and wait for a call for an interview or written test. I know there are lot of company out their who doesn't advertise their job hiring over the internet but I don't have the guts submitting resumes personally. I'm a shy-type person and I don't have companion to roam around the city. I depend much on internet. How about you? How do you apply for a job?

hi, Its better to go for walk-ins, simultaneously apply online also, some companies, ask to apply, online, even if we go and submit the resume in person, so, prepare, well, shyness will go automatically after atteding few interviews. All the best

hello arnold, yeah it's better to go for walk-ins but I'm not confident to submit resume though I already knew that they are hiring.

yeah same here R109948. I also want the employer to expect my appearance and that I can prepare to know more about their company before I go on interview.

Walk-in applicants is really nice since you some companies already interview on the spot and it shows that you are really eager to get the job. The only advantage of applying online is that your resume can be reviewed and you will be replied if you are qualified for that job. With walk-in application, some can easily reject you for you are not qualified.

hello cagampan, that's one of the reason why I don't like to walk-in. Because I'm afraid they would reject me.

When I was applying for a job, internet is not yet common so I really have to go personally to the office I wanted to work with. Anyway, with the new technology, most companies are really accepting applications on-line. This way, we could minimize the expenses of going to and from the place. We can just wait for a call from the company on the date of our interview. Personally, I also like this kind of applying for a job. Good luck JB! Give us an update!

I think that applying over the internet is kind of cowardly. And that doesn't really show well with the employer. An example of what i'm saying, for instance, you you were to breakup with your girlfriend/boyfriend, doing it over text is a really $hitty thing to do. But doing it in person shows that you aren't scared and your not pretty much a a$$hole. Ahaha. But anyways, that also goes with applying for a job in that sense. Going in there, asking for a application, giving them a resume, and also, checking in. For instance, you go in there, ask to speak to the manager or owner, ask them if they have any available positions to be filled and if so,ask for a application, give them your application and your resume. Then if you don't receive a call within the next few days, go back in there, ask to speak to the manager/owner again, and say "Hello again, I turned in a application and a resume a few days ago, and I was wondering if you have got a chance to look at it yet?". I know this may sound a little Nagy, but employers want people who are eager to work and people who have guts. But in the case that at anytime the manager or owner says that they aren't hiring at the moment, just say "Thank You anyways" and be on your way to your next stop. I hope I've helped you. And I am also a pretty shy person, It took me a while when I was looking for a job to get the guts to go in there and actually apply. But after I did it a few times, it was easy, I just realized that there is no reason to be shy about it. I hope you get out there, and you snag yourself a awesome job. Ahaha. Happy MyLoting ;)
