Many people would say that money is only a state of mind. Does it mean that to be happy, you only need to concern yourself that you think correctly? How about other aspects of our humanity like the spiritual realm, religion, health and sexuality and other areas of being human. Does it mean that all these things does not contribute to one's happiness? If they do, can you share how they could also help in making us happy?

Hi, I feel the person who is easily satisfied can get happiness easily. This kind of person often says "enough is enough". So even if they don't have much money, they don't have a good job, or they don't have healthy body, but they are still happy. They just don't ask for too much. Have a nice day!

Hello, I see what you mean. Being simple and being happy and content with whatever you have right now is a guarantee to happiness. But of course I find it a good idea to try to improve our situation as best as we can but we don't wait for good results before we become happy or content. We simply are happy NOW without waiting for the better tomorrow we are working for.

Happiness is a state of mind, therefore the real source of happiness lies in the mind, not in external circumstances.

Well said pestengbata. So no matter how difficult your external circumstances are, if you look for something positive about them you will still feel happy. Of course, it would be recommended to try to improve that external circumstances as best as we can but with a more positive attitude.

I think to be able to achieve real happiness is being able to see the brighter things in life. That is, realizing and accepting the fact that there are times that we may be at our lowest but, surely, a certain day will come wherein we will rise up and feel great about everything around us. Try to think of positive things. If something bad happens, give it some logical explanation.

I am in line with your thinking, jenny. Thinking positive about our life and being optimistic in spite of some negative things going on around us are important factors for being happy. So this explanation is closely related with the saying 'happiness is a state of mind'...what you think you become. If we think happy thoughts, we become happy no matter what our circumstances are.

Thanks jricky, I wish you happiness as well :) So what you're telling us is that besides being a state of mind, having a romantic or loving relationship with others can also bring happiness which I agree 100%. I also believe good relationships is essential for a happy life.
