In my country, almost every single girl wears earrings.I think I has something to do with the tradition here.Since when they get baptized, they have their earrings put. But I have seen an upcoming trend.Boys start wearing earrings as well. Not to mention piercings. Where I leave, boys who put earrings in their ear seem to be the jerks and bad people. What's your opinion on earrings?Do you like to see them on a girl?On a boy?

I personally like earrings only on girls. I think girls look pretty wearing them. My little niece got ear piercing just two month ago. Now she wears small gold earrings and look even prettier.

I also agree with that. It's strange,at least for me,to see a grown up man with an earring in his ear.In my opinion,I can't see that man being serious in a condition. Some of the punks in my neighborhood have multiple earrings in their ear, plus some piercings near their eyebrow. That just to top it off.

hellow, girls wearing earrings has been viewed positively compared to boys.Boys who wear earrings send mix signals amongst their peers and might be mistaken to be what they aren't.

I certainly never ever want them on myself! I still feel a little strange seeing them on a boy, but I recognize that it's a matter of culture. The males of Israel were wearing them on leaving Egypt, until all such things were surrendered to Aaron to make the golden calf and then finished up in their excreta and in the water of a Sinai oasis.

Hi Oktavist, here in the USA it is very common for males to wear earrings in their ears..I am sure some people here do not approve of it but who cares...I think everyone should please themselves and not worry about what otherd may have to say and thats the way it is here.....

everyone has their own liking. for centuries, girls wearing earning. so that's nothing new. about boys wearing earning. yaa, it looks a little weird, cause we are no much used to see boys wearing earning. but that doesn't mean they are bad. its just that they like it. one should never judge a person by his/her looks.

I agree. One should never judge a person solely o their looks.I also agree that people aren't used at the moment to see men wearing earrings. In my region,as a sign of "supremacy",some of the men will pierce their year with the earring. They think it looks cool. It's actually pretty peculiar when you see a 7 year old boy with an earring.

In the Philippines, girls are already having a pierced ears for the earrings use.The boys are already circumcised when born in a hospital. This is not a tradition, but a habit to almost all people here.Men are also piercing their ears to make a certain trend from foreign guys seen in movies, they like to copy the style. In some provinces here, men with earrings are not allowed to enter in their place to loiter with earring in their ear. They are warn not to wear their earrings when going in the city to travel. Some even scold violators and let them pay some fines of wearing the earrings. There are no problems with women with earrings because it is made for their fashion.

Until probably a decade ago, earrings were only for girls in my country. Earrings were put in the girl`s ears a day after they were born, at the hospital. But these last years there has been a revolution in that matter. Boys and girls got piercings and tattoes and boys got earrings. In my country noone has any problem with that anymore. I personally don`t like earrings in boys, but I know it`s my age.

I think it is not very god, but people can do anything they want and wear anything they like as long as it does not harm anybody i guess. Trends change all the time and it has been going on for many years here, some guys want to wear them since it looks cool.

I had my earring when I think i was already 7 years old. My sister had hers right after my mom gave birth to her. A lot of guys nowadays wear them. They think they look cool. But I think it doesn't. From my point of view, they are making other people to lessen their respect in them.

I don't think that wearing earrings or piercings symbolizes a bad image, especially for boys. But then, some countries are not allowed, especially if it is a Muslim territories.

For me, it does not matter if I see a girl or a boy wearing earrings. This is the twenty-first century where old social conventions can either be abolished or modified. Honestly, I think someone who wants to wear earrings means they choose to apply that type of style. Despite all the social norms that vary from culture to culture, I think people should have freedom of expression. Regardless of gender, people should be able to wear earrings. Who are we to condemn a practice where the person is only trying to express their sense of style? If other people have a problem with your style, that's their problem. People who might not fit the conventional social norm are not purposely trying to hurt anyone by being themselves, right? If we lived in an ideal world where all people are accepting of all kinds of people, people who don't fit the social norm would not have to conceal themselves from society just to fit in with society. Lastly, profiling people based on one trait is also not good; I wish that the general public would not be quick to stereotype a guy who wears earrings.

It is interesting to hear that almost every single girl wears earrings in your country. Maybe something to do with traditon there, yes, I agree. But I think some boys start wearing earrings doesn't mean they are bad people. I guess, it depends on different personal hobby. In China, some time I found some very young boy with earrings on their ears or only one ear in the bus. But they are very polite and nice to others. They even stood up and offered their seats to the old people or little chilred. What can I say? I can't tell they are bad people just because there are earrings on their ears. But I still like to see the earrings on a girl more than it do on a boy since I am a very traditional person. I think the earrings can make the girls look more beautiful, but make the boys look strange. But I myself, I have never have earrings before , and will never to have it on my ears because I don't like to have my ears broken with two holes!
