If you myLot a lot, where do you get your Vitamin D?

My husband just took me for a walk this morning, ahd breakfast outside too. While walking the sunshine on my skin feels great and warm. I loved it. I seldom feel good under sun, maybe this morning it wasn't so late so it feels so good. The sun's shine is one of the sources of vitamin D which is very important in our health? I was just wondering to my fellow myLotters, where do you get your vitamin D if you are so hooked in myLot? In my place, early morning and late evening is the best time to use the computer and surf the internet because the server is so fast. How about you?

Hi, leateagee! I do not like the sun. I am very light skinned and get burned in 20 minutes. My eyes are light sensitive. And I am a night person. I love the moonlight, the dark, the quiet peacefulness of the night. And, no, I have never bitten anybody on the neck! But certain friends of mine have referred to me as "the vampire" on occasion. And I have been asked by others if I am a vampire. I get my vitamin D out of a bottle. From the GNC vitamin store. High quality and I take plenty of it.

Good to know you are not one of them. But you know, I would like to have a friend from one of them. I think that would be so cool. I am glad you find ways on how to get your vitamin D. Just remember you are not of them ok. I used to be a night person too in my younger years. But I'm getting used to the morning now ...

I'm old (64) and I have been a night person ever since I was a kid. I like to stay up all night. And when I was younger I used to wish I could be a vampire!

agreeable with him lol when i am infront of the computer i get so engrossed that i too does not even want to get up and wants to continue on and on and on..and yes your husband do have a point, sometimes we need to go outside, relax and enjoy mr.sun!

Oh yes Mr Sun is very important. But most peopel don't get to enjoy them especially *ahem* those who are so in-love with myLot. I'm begin to be like one ... hooked to it after my day job. Good thing my husband looks at me in a kinda saying "get up, walk, stretch and do other things my wife." hehehe He never scolds me if its myLot! Here are Mr Suns for you my friend!

hehehe Really? Well, my husband is just the look, so I make sure I do everything a wifey should do before I sit and then when I know he's coming i pretend to be very busy with other things. hehehe Oh I wish he will not ban me.

Of course, I get it outside when I bring the kid to school. People can Mylot a lot but they do find time to get some sun.

Good for you. I don't all of us really get enough. If I don't intentionally go out, I will never see the sun because my work and home ar ein the same place just different floors. Good for you, you got to go out and see Mr Sun.

hello leateagee, well, first of all, you should start walking out of the house and feel the sunshine every morning. or if you can't find some place in your house where there are rays of sunlight and you can bring your mobile or laptop there. if you are using desktop computer, well, you have to somehow be near sunlight. I do use computer in a room where sunlight always went... though it really is hot sometimes, but i can't move the computer to any places...

I have just realized how much Vitamin D I was missing. The truth is, even when i wasn't as active as now at mylot, I just stay indoors most of the time. Thanks for reminding. :)

Good morning! I envy you that you can have time to take a walk in the morning. But we have to get up early before the sun rises and go to catch the bus to work in office. Then when I have time during my work and break, I go to mylot and chat here with friends from all over the world. It is interesting, I think. But it is not contradictory conflict with getting our Vitamin D. To walking uder the sunlight can make us getting more V D for our body but it is the only way we can do. We can make more sport activity and eat more healthy food which contain more VD. Am I right?

Yes, some work out will do and supplements too. But I think, it is healthy to say hi to mr Sun once in awhile or we will catch some sickness. I am frightening you but being addicted to one thing so much is also not healthy. I am working too but only in the afternoon until early in the evening. I am glad my schedule can still see Mr Sun. For me, mylot is one os my hobbies. I love to come to this sites, but I also love my garden, like to cook, have a nice social life ( that doesn`t help my need of shedding some pounds). There are so maany beautiful things in life that it is absurd to do only one, no matter how wonbderful it is.

To be quite honest, i do not know where to get most vitamins and i think i'm just eating healthy diet as possibily as i can. To eat things that i like is really cool, this definitely make my life easier and happier.

Well I try to get out and walk every few hours if I remember. I have been doing well for myself this summer months more than I have in the past few years. I am losing weight from walking around even for short periods. I do not know how it will be in the winter. I will have to try to get out even though it is cold. I start to feel upset or angry sometimes when I don't get fresh air! Your morning sounds very nice and enjoyable. It wasn't too hot for you to enjoy the sunshine and you got to eat outside. I like to do that but i rarely do.

Good for you I hope you will have time to go out on winter but I hope it will not be too cold. Just be careful sometimes the streets are slippery. Maybe take advantage of teh moments that the sun shines by the windows, no need to go out. Thank you, I did have a nice morning.

hi there aside from doing activities in responding and making your own post in mylot, i have activities outside as i walk going to school. when so tired too in here, i will have my stretching outside under the sun. our house is being surrounded with plants that is why, the sun cannot strike directly to my skin. so the effect of it is subtle only. i also, love walking as my form of exercise along with friends. it is because, as we do love mylot, but we cannot stay to be like this all of the time. we must divide our time for our other activity to comply. so thanks for the opportunity :)

Walking is anytime very good for mental and physical health. I don't use to walk these days as a routine but in a day I still walk around 2-3 kms as going to office requires some walk for changing conveyance and then on returning if I have to go to market then there will a walk. So my walk is not of a routine type but rather a "no-choice" type. I used to get my little vitamin D while traveling only to my office, otherwise my office is centrally air-conditioned and so I couldn't think of getting sunlight. 3-4 months back I used to go for a short walk after having lunch but after my work load has increased I cannot think of a walk now.

No choice type ... but you know, because of this, it makes you healthy. People who walks a lot, also exercises a lot. It is cheap and really the safest way to lose weight and energizes. You don't get much sunlight anymore ... here's some for you

I agree with you. If you use your computer in the mornings and at night you're not losing out on any sun. But you can't let the sun be your only source of vitamin D in life, I mean I don't know where you live exactly but there are few countries that have sun all year round. For those days where you can't get sun try to think about taking a dietry supplement. Vitamin D in tablet form together with milk in your diet is a very good way to generate the best effects from taking in vitamin d. Your bones will thank you for it by being healthy and strong.
