Hi mylotters. I have a new goal i.e. I want to be able to speak fluently in Mandarin. But I think just learning from the book is not a very effective way to learn a language. Writing, reading, conversing and socializing through social-medias, online chats and real-life conversation are far more effective. So, my question here is, can I find any Mandarin speakers from mylot?

So vampire0710 you're from Wuhan. I'll make sure to check that out in the map. Yes, the best way to learn about any languages is to learn the history and culture of the people. It will help the learner a lot. I'll do that. Yes, I must be very persistent..will make a schedule to learn this on a regular basis or else it'll become just another failed goal. With friends' help, I know I can do this. BY the way, why do you use vampire as your name? If you don't mind telling me ok.

Are you willing to take the risk of learning Chinese, whatever the case? Mandarin Chinese is fairly easy spoken, but the reading/writings of Mandarin Chinese is fairly difficult when learning a new language. I don't have a lot of knowledge if Chinese to fully teach, but I think I know enough.. :)

Thanks Mccreeper. I don't think I need to learn written Mandarin. Being able to converse and understand the language is good enough for me. We can sometimes chat in Mandarin...I hope I don't give in easily. But I have already started to learn from the free audio lesson provided in the internet.
