Penpal friends?

I wanted to have a pen friend. But I don't know a lot of people, especially foreigners form other countries. Could there still be some people who would be interested to write letters the old way? I understand that it's much easier to write emails but I think that there is something very nice about writing a letter. It can be more personalized and I could imagine the person more clearly. What about you?

I do have penpal somewhere back 7 years ago. But now no more. I remember writing a postcard or a letter once a while to my friend in Sweden and UK. Yes, when people start using email and sms, we don't write a lot except for signature. But I still do some writing about song lyrics in my scratch book. I love to see my own writing using water ink in italic. My writing skill is very nice. Maybe I will start writing a postcard again if there's someone want to do the same thing to me.

that's nice. I haven't experienced having a penpal but I really wanted to.. People are too lazy to write a letter these days.

I used to have a lot of penfriends. It was before the internet and we always sent eachother handwritten letters via snail mail. I loved writing to them and when I returned to my home I was excited to pick up the mail because I was hoping that there would be a letter from one of my penfriends from around the world. We told eachother about our thoughts and experiences and exchanged pictures, postcards and small presents like souvenirs from our countries. Sometimes I miss that time. Today I don't send or receive handwritten letters anymore. I only write emails.

Good for you that you were able to experience that kind of friendship.. It makes you cherish the letters because you know that the people who made them really made an effort.

Electronic mail has really taken over the traditional mailing of letters through post mainly because you get instant reply via email than having to wait for an answer via post for about a couple of days to a week. But I guess, you can try sending letters through mail and that would be something special for that person. A personal touch always give an edge. Good luck!

Hello friend I have two pen friends from America. We are still connected each others. We exchanged ideas and experiences. I appreciate their time and effort even though they are both busy but they still try to answer my letters. Try it and I'm sure you will enjoy!.. Have a great day..^_^

I used to have a pen pal from London when I was very young. We wrote each other for two years then she just stopped. I love getting letters from anybody, but nowadays, email is the most convenient thing without paying for the stamps and all.

I never did do penpal friends and I want to try but I have no time spending with it. Nowadays people tend to finds friends in internet which in not bad at all but it makes bad when people do not work for good intention.
