Remembering Michael Clarke Duncan

Yesterday, when I logged in to my Facebook account, I was so shocked to see a post by Anne Rice, the author, about Michael Clarke Duncan, passing away at the age of 54. I thought it was a prank of some sort, but when I got to confirm the news, I was so saddened to hear it. He was one of my favorite actors. The first time I saw him was in Green Mile, where he starred in opposite Tom Hanks, and automatically fell in love with the character and the sincerity of his acting. Then, after that, I saw him in some other movies but mostly with minor roles. Just this year, he was in one of my favorite shows The Finder, that unfortunately got cancelled this year as well, working opposite Geoff Stults. I really liked him in that series because he was such a teddy bear. For me, I see him and remember him as a gentle giant and one of the most admirable actors of the past couple of decades, that can move you to tears. He will be missed. How about you Mylotters? Have your seen any of his movies? How will you remember him?

I was saddened to hear he didn't recover from the heart attack. He was great on The Finder and wish it would have been renewed. I did see Dare Devil and he was good in the role.

Show would not have come back without him. The cast really worked well together. He will be missed by many people.

I liked him in Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Although he played a bad guy, it was hard to dislike his character. And he was going up against one of my favorite actresses, Kristin Kreuk, who played the heroine. This movie suffered from a lack of promotion and poor distribution but I thought it was very good. The only star in the movie that I saw on one of the talk shows promoting it was Michael Clarke Duncan. Based on that alone many more people should have wanted to see it.

I saw a couple of his films too, and he is a good actor no doubt. Green Miles, and daredevil, and other couple of films that I don't really remember though. I don't know about his news, nor I would follow his news that much. It was come to my shocking this morning when I was browsing the internet in my cell phone. A big fella indeed, with a honest smile.

I love it when he smiles. Very honest and sincere. He's adorable. So sad to hear he passed away at 54. Still too young, I suppose.
