What do you want your first baby to be, a boy or a girl?

Eversince, I always wanted a girl to be my 1st child. I don't know but I just want a baby girl, maybe from a dream I had before. Thinking of it, maybe because girls are more capable of being the eldest among the siblings. I think she will be a strict sister but in a good way. She'll guide her other siblings to the right path. But everytime I think of it, I also want a boy because I can't help to wait to play basketball with him. I think I'll be too old to play with him if I wait for him to come as our 2nd or 3rd child. Well, maybe I'm just excited. Just so you know, my girlfriend isn't pregnant yet. I just thought of it now :).

I just got married and praying for a baby boy. I wanted my other children to have a big brother to look up to and protect them because I never had one. We're all girls in my family.

Goodluck to that, I wish you get what you want. Boys are protective, so you'll be sure that he will take good care of his younger siblings.

I always wanted my first child to be a boy and I did! I was so happy when I found out my first child was a baby boy in my first ultrasound. And I didn't mind whether I was having a boy or a girl after I had my first boy. I always think the first boy will be like a big brother, big boy for the rest of the siblings.

When I got pregnant, I didn't have any particular gender as to what I would want for my baby. All I had in mind is to have a safe delivery and that my baby would come out healthy. I have 4 boys now and have stopped at that. Others say that I am missing a lot for not having a daughter. Say what? I shouldn't feel sorry about it. My boys are God's gift to me and that is all that matters.

Just tell them that you have 4 bodyguards with you they should be wary about what they say, hehe.. Don't worry, I just thought of this topic but whatever my baby will be will be treated the same. I suggest you make one more boy, then that will be a basketball team! :D

I already had children. A son and a daughter. When I just got married, I also keep on thinking what will my first baby will be. But then I just thought that whatever my baby will be for as long as he/she is normal, I would be very happy. Now I have both. My youngest is a girl and now she is even bigger than me but she is still my baby.

You have a point, whatever the gender is, what's important is that they are normal. Anyhow, it's so nice to hear that you're still sweet to your daughter! Thank you!

I like to have a baby girl just like you as my first child but it happened to be a boy so I have to accept it.I am really happy even if my baby is a boy he was really a loving son and always want to be with me.

Before I had my children I wanted to have a baby girl and then two or three years later a baby boy. If I had only managed to have one baby I would have wanted to have a baby girl. I got pregnant at 22 years old and felt that I was having a baby boy. I was right. He is now 17 years old and studying for his A Levels. My marriage only lasted six years. I had another relationship after my marriage ended. I got pregnant again at age 34 years old. That was my disabled son and he is now a 5 year old school boy. I finally got my baby girl when I was 36 years old. One week after her birth I became 37 years old. She is now 3 years old. I love my kids and their genders don't matter. It is special to be the mom of a disabled child.

I guess no matter what the gender is, we are still lucky to have a child of our own. When I got pregnant, I wanted our first child to be a girl. My husband wanted a boy. I lost. My husband was so happy about it. I didn't feel bad about it. We are so lucky to have our son. I guess he's growing up just fine. He's very healthy, smart, and responsible. He's making us proud parents. Happy mylotting.

Hi carlfrancisregala, for me it doesn't matter if it's a girl or a boy our first born child as long as we have a child. I am married but almost 7 years but still dont have yet a child, my husband and i agreed to have kids as soon as possible were only praying of a child whether it is a girl or boy as long as she/he is healthy and were going to love and care him/her for the rest of our lives.

When I was pregnant with both my kids, I wasn't really worried about whether they would be a boy or a girl, I just wanted them to be healthy.

Although I have no plans of having children, if I wanted children, it would not matter to me whether it would be a boy or a girl. Either would be more than welcome and either would be loved. :)
