Has anyone actually stopped and really tasted Coke

I stopped in the middle of a swig of ice cold coke the other day and decided to really taste what I was drinking. Someone had asked me to explain the flavour and I couldn't really recall how it tastes. The funny thing was that when I took the time to really consider what I was drinking and how it tasted - I wan't really sure that I even liked the taste. Don't get me wrong. I drink Coke - and quite a bit of it! But have you ever stopped and wondered why - because it isn't an overly nice taste to be honest.
