So I got this phone a few weeks ago and lately I noticed the battery not making it through the day even if I wasn't doing anything but letting it in standby... after just about 4 hours the full battery got under 50% and the phone was hot... in standby without even touching it! So I got online and got to a forum where some people had the same problem. The solution was to delete the email accounts I had on my phone once by one and checking if the problem persists. Looks like one of the accounts had problems when syncing so it kept syncing all the time let letting the phone rest like it should. So after I noticed which email account had the problem I charged the battery and two days later I still have over 30% battery :) Thank you internet!! ;)

Thanks for this information. My cousin has the same problem but she doesn't know what seems to be wrong. I'll tell her this. My bf's phone is sony's android. It's good but it also eats the energy of the battery. I think it's normal to experience those kind of problems in an android phone. Good thing there are some possible solution to it that were not given in the guide book of the phone.

Yes, check that out. If your cousin has more than one email account delete them one by one and see if the problem gets solved. Hope this helps your cousin as well ;)

My cousin have also samsung galaxy S3.Rather he should not use Internet on his cell but if he normally use his cell phone then on one charge of battery 2 days were happily passed. you enjoy with your phone.samsung galaxy is really nice mobile.

Thanks for your comment :) Make sure he checks the problem explained above if he notices his battery life going down very fast :)

Ah I can imagine now how that syncing would take up much of the phone's battery life! Thanks for the information. Would come in handy if any of my friends encounter that same problem too. I haven't used an Android phone before but I am thinking of getting the latest Samsung Note 10.1 if I have the money.

Yes, and I was really wondering about the phone getting hot while on standby... I know my sister has friends who had this problem and brought the phone to the shop and then the phone was send to the service center and after one month they are still waiting for the phone to arrive :(
