How do you fit in your travels?

If there is a school holiday of one week leave on the Saturday and come home the Sunday the next week. That gives a trip of nine days. If there is a school holiday of two weeks leave on the Saturday and come home in two weeks time on the Sunday. I find the summer holiday from July to September has very expensive flights. I could say something similar about flights at Christmas and New Year time. I find the Easter holidays and half term weeks have more reasonable prices. In the past I went off traveling after being made redundant and between job contracts. I used all of the Easter holidays to go to the Seychelles in 2004. Due to the long flight I felt tired when I got back to work the very next day. I managed to have Christmas and New Year in New Zealand by leaving the UK in November. Airfare prices in December would have been way too expensive. If you have children that are in school are holidays allowed in term time? How have you fitted in your travels?

As you know, my travels now depend on what the doctor says. I have to travel between doctor appointments and treatments and it also depends on how I feel then and if I can get a friend to come with me. Money is an issue too so some of my outings are just nearby, to places near Santiago. One of such was the day trip to San Francisco de Los Andes with some friends.
