the effect social media for the campaign

jakarta governor election is one of the regional election whom using many technology and internet..
We ever heard that both of the candidates have an official website, official facebook and maybe official twitter..
Both of them maybe realize that many "floating mass" in Jakarta governor election..The prediction maybe 30 percent of the voter is floating mass..
And many of floating mass is in young people..And of course their time is spend too much in Social media and internet..
That`s why we always get some tweet from the official website to promote their campaign, programme,promises, opinion and maybe "counter attack" to their rival..
But many floating mass say that they are not changed because of that..They have choice before the candidates began to use social media for promoting them selves..
What do you think about social media for Jakarta Governor election??

I dont think it will take effect on people choice. They are already have decision to choose one of them. They already have their own judgement to both candidate, and i am sure this social media campaign is just waste their time if it just provoke each other. Or promise about candidate programs if he become jkt governor. These days people are smarter and clever voters. they do not need promise. they need proof from their promise.

Nowadays media play a very big role in our life
they take our spare time to spend with
less or more they influence how we think too
there is so many research about this and they have proved that the people who watch Tv or other social media in a big quantity of time got influenced by media

I find your topic to be interesting since I'm not that familiar with your elections and campaigns. But I think that social media nowadays has been playing a bigger role than we could have ever imagined. The internet sites like twitter and Facebook have been such huge influences to a lot of people especially to the young ones and I think that the same is true in your country. Sometimes, it's easy to say that people are not influenced or changed by any other types of promotion, but reality is, most people are, whether they know it or not.

the campaigns in every place is still same..They always promise us like civil people..
And the social media is started using in campaign by Barrack Obama method..
Obama knows exactly the influence of social media..It is one of his key role when he become the USA President

I think there is nothing wrong with what was done by the future leaders of jakarta. They worked hard to get the voice of the masses who are accustomed to using the internet and social media, so they use that method to achieve the sound of its citizens. But I think if the campaign is not done in time it can be regarded as the covert campaign, and is a violation.

maybe...
it is the duty of KPU for determining if the using of Social media before the time is violation for the rule of campaign or not..
but many people are doubt of KPU performance...They think that KPU is controlled by the current governor and sometimes the policy and rule of KPU only gives advantages for the current governor
