Have You Tried Blogging or Are You Familiar with It?

I just love to inform other myLotters about blogging since I familiarized myself about it for 2 years before I decided to come back at this lovely community.
In the simplest term - blogging is making an online journal. You write and publish topics that you have the interest in writing, for example - writing thoughts about your stamp collections or your favorite pet.
There are two main classes: they are done for personal purposes, like writing a journal for your family without the aim to monetize it. Or make a blog for profit, that is content marketing wherein later on you will monetize your pages using adsense, and other advertizing programs.
Anyway, have you tried it? Have you created your blog already? How was it? How's the traffic going? What's your reason for making your blog? Are you monetizing it? How about your traffic? What's your technique in promoting your articles published in your blog?
Let's share you've learned here, and am ready to give some tips too :)

Same here, and as I looked into yours, it's great and I love you professionally build wordpress theme! I don't know but as I test it here it won't redirect, you mean a landing page? Yes a myLot post! But it is still mine

Thanks for the compliment, it really motivates me to try harder to get better results.
Actually in the past I tried to form a group of blogger network to help each other and share some pointers to help each other. And the group is sort of private as we do not spammer to come into the group but it not really kick off as there was not much sharing around. I wonder if I have you two as member would it be more active?

Oh yes, I did but too bad I am not updating my blogs regularly (hehehe)
I wrote and submit my articles/blogs on different writing sites to earn.
But for my personal blogs- I am doing bad in there (no updates hehehe)

Wow, so you are a copy writer or what do you called that Sis? That's good as long as you have the good ways to earn extra every month! Blogging can be a long term money making scheme, you can't earn easily!

I don't know what they call that , copywriter or whatever -hehehe.
I don't know how personal blogs earn as well.
I have tried with infolink, but I don't know exactly how does infolinks works.
I've tried with chitika but later I've found that my chitika account was gone.
So,I prefer submitting my blogs/articles to writing site wherein I earned some extra without too much pressure.

In terms of income, not yet successful, but in terms of my goal, yes very successful! I craved to become a web designer and yes I did! My Template is exclusively created by my hands through a lot of failures too! I really learned a lot from almost 2 years!

Congratulations.
A few years ago, I did the following analysis on how to monetize writing, found in my article below. Since I could not commit the time to update on a regular basis, I have decided to just write on sites like Triond and ExpertsColumn. In fact, I started blogging back in 2008.

I tried blogging but couldn't stay at it for very long. I guess I'm just not born to blog, I found it hard to keep at it and post anything everyday. I wanted to make my blog interesting and not just write things for the sake of writing. But then I stopped coming up with ideas and just didn't know what to write. I don't think it was meant to be.

Hello elsino, blossom is right! Before starting a blog and naming it - you need to make a survey first! Or shall I say conduct a study, list down the potential interest you can write topics for a long term, and decide which one... that's the time you will make your blog and named it in accordance to your chosen topic! Blogging is tricky, but if you are patience about it, its lucrative in many ways. I have learned blogging and study web designing for almost 2 years, and the result was more than I expected I can!

well, blogging is really nice when you published articles or blogs you love about. It is not boring once you only concentrate on one field of interest or focus. If you are into health, then think of issues you are interested to learn more or share with others, and stay with the topic.

i just started writing a blog. I want to make profit using it. As a photographer, it more on my own photographs and about photography. There are a large number of photography websites available where you can post your photos. But very good sites do put in a lot of constraints on the photos you submit. Also you need to have an SLR camera to have crisp clear photos

I am fond of writing articles and blogs. I got blog sites under weebly.com domain name. I like to generate traffic for it but just barely know how to do it. If you have tips, I'll be most glad to hear them soon.
