New Auction Site

I was wondering if any of you guys are using a new site I discovered called Listia. I think it's a great little site, you use credits to bid on things (I got over 1,000 credits the first day I signed up just by doing a bunch of little things here and there--cost me nothing). You really don't have to spend any money on things, most people make it free shipping so you really just use credits. Right now I'm bidding on 6 books, all of which are free shipping. I have a few auctions up, unfortunately I can't do free shipping because I don't have the money to do that for all my stuff, but to make up for that I usually start them at a lower credit bid. So do any of you guys use this site? What do you think of it? Interested in it? Let's link up and follow each other on there!

Another member told me about it months ago because I wanted to get rid of this rocking horse and I think she said there is an option for pick up instead of shipping..Problem was, this horse was worth at least 50 dollars if not more and at first I was told each credit was like a dollar, but then I saw that I had earned 500 points, I knew that couldn't be right, that would be like giving me 500 dollars. So I had no idea what to start the bidding at, so I ended up selling it on craigslist. I should go back there though, because I do have the points and maybe I can win something. :)

I don't think one credit is worth one dollar! Haha. You can buy credits from the site if you want, and you can get 1,500 credits for 5 dollars, 3,000 credits for 10 dollars and so on. I've lost two of my books now! Apparently this other member has been buying credits or selling like crazy! Haha. But I'm still the highest bid on 3 books, keeping my fingers crossed! Whats your username? I'll follow you!

Well, 3,000 for 5 credits? That means if I were to put this horse there, I wouldn't start the bid at 50, more like 15,000...I am so glad I didn't fall for that..As for my username, search for carmelanirel, that is typically what I use. I have not been on there since I signed up and got confused on how much the credits are worth..lol

I have not yet seen the site but I think it is good when you can benefit from it. I would love to try it out anytime. But when it comes to putting money, I hesitate and auction thing actually goes over my head as well. I like simple sites like this mylot. I will check the site out anyway. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

That's the beauty of this site, no money required! I can't afford to spend any money either, because of school. So finding this site made me very happy! It allowed me to keep ordering books, but I didn't have to spend money! haha Can I send you my link for the site? Would be easier to find me on there and I can help you figure the site out. It's really very simple. They have a wide range of movies on this site, not as many books...but I managed to find 6 to bid on! Haha

E-jobber that I came to know yesterday is seems to be a great site unless it tour out to be scam. There are some micro tasks that are offered at this site needed to be completed within a prescribed period and you have your money transferred to your account. It pays 0.1 to 0.5 dollars for doing a really simple job. It can be liking one's site on facebook or commenting on a blog. And there much task there to do. But I did not take up a task there as I am still not sure of its legitimacy. I need someone's review for this site. If anybody has idea about this site please share with me. Regards

I looked at it & yes they do give you some credits when you sign up, but eventually you have to buy more credits in order to bid on anything. Now here's the bad thing about this site that I don't like, if you bid on an item & you get outbid you lose those credits regardless. Then you have to buy more credits to try & outbid someone else on yet another item you may want & the same thing happens all over again. That's why I don't like this site.

You don't lose your credits when you're outbid. I have been outbid countless times (when I've gone over 1,000 credits for one item) and I still have all of my credits. I've never won anything yet, but it looks like I'll win 4 out of 5 of my books, so I'll be happy about that! And you don't have to spend money because you can sell your own stuff you don't need any more on the site for more credits (dvd's bring in a lot of credits).

I really like using Listia. The only thing I dont like is the scammers on there that like to say they didnt get their stuff when they really did. Ive had to start keeping all my shipping receipts and sending links to pics of the receipt with their city, state, zip code, package weight, and estimated delivery date. This is my proof that I mailed their item. Its happened more than once and after I do that, they change their tune everytime.
