Anyone have any suggestions for meal ideas for my 15 month old to get a good source of protein? She only seems to eat the frozen chicken nuggets. I've tried making some homemade nuggets but she didn't like them.

My friend has the same problem and what she does is make the plate of food look like animals and what not. She made deviled eggs for her daughter and made them look like little chicks with baby carrots for the nose and pieces of black olives for the eyes. It was really cute and her daughter loved it. She had made pigs in a blanket with celery pulled apart to make a little curly tail and she used little smokies as the feet and she got some of that food grade paint to paint on eyes and a mouth as well as a nose. I think that kids like to play with their food and when you make meal fun they can play and eat all at the same time. Its a great way to get kids to try new things as well. If it looks fun to them they are more willing to try new things. Especially if they dont look as much like the food we are eating. They think they are getting something special just for them. Good luck I know it was a thorn in my side.

There is a lot of things you can do for a good source of protein. Well your child is over the age of 12 months so milk is good for your child. Cheeses or pretty much anything dairy related that is good for your child. Potatoes, sour cream. You can take any kind of chicken and mix it or cook it with that some times it takes a few tired to get your child to like something but over time they will eat it. I do the tough way you eat what I make if not well you go hungry and when your hungry enough you'll eat it. My daughter loves chicken anything chicken she will eat some times I lie to her about something being a chicken and then she'll eat it.
