So Sad a Child Has Died

He was only a child and had been battling cancer. I thought he was doing better but apparently he got worse again. This is a child I have been connected with for several years now via a tagging group or two on the web. I used to make tags with digital scrap kits and PTU tubes. I know that is hard to understand (and hard to explain for me) but anyways, I was saddened to hear he died on the 9th of this month, with cancer. I won a contest they held and so it has a special meaning for me this time. Not just cause I won anything but also because this is just a child and so young where God took him. I'll be attending a ten minute silent vigil on Facebook in his honor tonight. Tears...

It's so sad to hear this happening to a child, and even though you haevent met him personally you still have a connection to him.

You are right, it would be hard to go through this as a parent. I couldn;t imagine going through it.

Yes, and I hadn't even met him but have seen posts about his recoveries and pictures. I had somewhat lost touch accidentally when someone else I knew on FB sent me a link to the news. I was crying here...

Ive met a few people online including here on MyLot, and became good friends with even though I havent met them in real life. Some I even have talked too on the phone with. You have a different type of connection, but it still hurts us just the same.

That is so sad. It seems cancer patients quite often have an upsurge of good and then they just up and die. I saw on Yahoo yesterday where the star of the Batman movie had paid for a young cancer victim and his family to go to Disneyland. I think that was very nice. I guess a higher power has his/her reasons for taking the little ones home early and not letting them have a fuller life.

I know, they get better and then it comes back. Kind of makes you alittle negative and say you don't want the treatment. But there are alot of cases where the person gets well again and for many years. My dad is proof of that. I'm just afraid it is coming back with him now too as he is losing some weight again and we don't know why. This dr appt tomorrow I hope isn't cancelled again for him, as he got a call from the VA hospital asking him to cal there first before going as that Dr he has to see isn't going to be in. That is the DR that is supposed to be finding out what's wrong with him as far as the weight, but he does have another appt that day as well.
