does online friendship exist?
I think yes. there was a time when I had some health problems and a girl that I know from a forum offered to come with me to the doctor as I didn't know the city and that hospital really well. I really appreciated what she did for me and I was really surprised that she was so helpful

I also agree with that statement swissheart. I have also several friends online who are there for you when you need them. Right now I have a lot of friends here in mylot whom I can talk to and confide my problems.

I totally agree! I was going through some problems and was corresponding with a person I had never met in person before. Sometimes you just need a person with an outsider's view to help you get through times. We still keep in touch ever so often and it's been over 4 years. When you communicate on the internet, you can meet people that are going through or have gone through what you're going through and they can lend a helping hand or ear.

I have several good friends online. If you talk a lot to people you can get to know them fairly well. Of course I still think there´s nothing better than to see the person eye to eye. But if it isn´t possible, I think that you can reach a certain amount of intimacy anyway. I have a couple of real friedns here at mylot and it doesn´t matter if I don´t see their faces when we talk.
