I love fast food fries but I have to admit the fries I made last night were so good! I just cut up potatoes thin in little strips, tossed in some olive oil and then seasoned with garlic salt. You could use any seasoning and even make them spicy. I baked them at 425 then in the oven for 30-40 min. My daughter loved them too!

i wanted and very addicted to french fries or any fries like fries of Mcdo and KFc fries, but to avoid some expenses,i could save more if i will buy fresh big potato and will slice it to thin long pieces and cook it,pour with salt flavor with ketchup.

Me too I'm making home-made Fries..They were better than the french fries on the stores because those fries on the stores were processed.that means the fries there are full of chemicals.they are very highly dangerous to our health especially to our children..Thats why I only eat what is natural.we should make our own fries.

That sounds great. I always like eating french fries and I tried to make it at home many times. But it doesn't taste as well as the french fries in the fastfood restaurants like McDonald's. I may missed some steps. I am surprised to hear that you don't deep fry it because this is how to make the french fries. I love China

Fries - Fries are at its best when homemade.
That is a healthier version of fries. I myself do take time to make my own fries at home because I dread the fast food fries. I know they are unhealthy though they are crispy and good to the bite. Once in a while I can't avoid eating them especially if I go out with friends but at home I eat homemade fries without any worries because I cook it the healthy way.

Wow! You're lucky. I'm not good at cooking. I tried some recipies, but the taste were always far from tasty haha.. Homemade foods are healthier. Wish I could be good in cooking someday :)

The idea of baking is new to me. I always thought that fries should be fried. Anyways, i'll try this. Thanks for the tip! :)

It's a good thing that you baked them instead of frying, more healthy. I do love anything came from potatoes . Chips, mash, baked whole, soup, pudding and especially french fries .

Wow! My nephew loves fries. My sister would make fries by boiling potatoes, cut them into strips and then deep fry and then seasoned with salt. I think yours is good. I will tell my sister about it. We will try your recipe. Thanks:)
