Being hacked the email is a serious issue

At first my friend told me that her email account was hacked but she said it was not a big deal. Then I told her it was a big issue. Try to imagine the hacker uses your email address to send emails to your friends and ask to transfer money for help or something like that. It is terrible. She should change a new password immediately in case of being hacked again.

Maybe she is not aware of what might happened.
It happened to my friend she was in the US that time
when she contacted me to tell her husband about her
niece. She got an email from her niece asking for help
to send her money because she was trap on a hotel and
she lost her bag and she can't check out on the hotel.
I told her to verify it first if it is really true,
my friend is not aware much on hackers since she is not
an internet user like me. So I advice her to ask the
true whereabouts of her niece. And it is all true her
husband called their relatives and found out that her niece
email account was hacked. She's lucky that she listened to
me for she did not send her money.

It is a serious issue if it is hacked. I have some problem with my two Yahoo emails as I don't use them often. And I cannot remember the password. That is the main issue and because of this I am not able to use what I have earned from mylot. I am wondering how I can get this problem solved, however hard I have tried.
