Bad Movie Violence about Islam

the attacks on Libyan embassy and riots at American embassies in Cairo and Yamen..were raised because a movie called (Innocence of Muslims)..that movie makes any Muslim angry..but we should act more wisely and not destroy or kill...prophet Muhammad is the greatest Human in the earth and taught us to not kill or destroy and follow the Qur'an and Ahades

I find it hard to believe that anyone would get so worked up over this film that they'd riot to the point of killing innocent people. If Islam is a peaceful religion, as we keep hearing, why are the religious leaders inciting Muslims to behave in this fashion?
If Muhammad was such a great man and is so revered by the Muslim community, and if it was peace he taught, why are Muslims continually dishonoring him by performing these acts of violence, particularly on the innocent?
I know there are extremist in every religion and that Christianity has had its share of bad behavior (crusades, inquisition); but in the modern era, how often have you heard a Christian leader encourage killing Muslims in the name of Jesus Christ because Muslims dishonor Jesus by not acknowledging His divinity?
Perhaps if we'd all follow the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, we'd learn what it means to lover your enemies.

Just because they ill in the name of religion doesn't make them religious. I heard 10% of all Muslims are extremists, that means 90% are not....
If you followed Jesus the crusaders would not have happened, Spanish Inquisition etc
It is high time we just nuked those who refuse to respect others and then move forward. Freedom of religion for all in every country(how many churches are there in Saudi Arabia.....)

@6precious102: I recall some Christians firebombing a movie theatre back in the '80s because they were showing Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Jesus Christ. I also recall a whole bunch of Christians firebombing abortion clinics and murdering physicians who provide abortion.
No Christian is in any position to lecture Muslims on this topic.

I am thinking otherwise as well if other people are being extremist or needs to be violent so that people from other religion would be afraid of them? Instead of making war then I hope they could have just file a case against the film maker then the authorities can ban him or sanction persona non grata in countries that is Islam.

Yes I agree. It would have been more appropriate to totally block Youtube or any other site that is hosting that movie throughout the Muslim world, that would have sent a strong message and resulted in the movie being removed from the internet. Killing innocent people who had noting to do with making of the movie has put the sympathy on the other side.
